during the period 1955-1979.
You are eligible for the US-ROC Mutual Defense
Commemorative Badge. If you were on Taiwan during the bombardment from the
mainland (August 1958), you are also eligible for the Honor Medal for 823
Bombardment.
June 30, 2006 is the deadline for applying for these awards which
have been given each year since 1998. If you qualify, and are interested, check
