ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2005--The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC)
has awarded FATS, Inc. a contract valued at approximately $5.5 million
to provide a newly developed, portable virtual small arms training
solution for U.S. Marine Security Guard forces worldwide.
In accordance with the contract, FATS will deliver an
initial 65
systems. The contract includes options providing a potential value up
to $20 million. Each training site will receive a FATS Individual
Marksmanship Trainer - Enhanced, Marine Security Guard (ISMT-MSG) along
with equipment compliments that include FATS BLUEFIRE(TM) wireless
weapon simulators.
The new, portable solution maintains full
FATS training system functionality, is interoperable with the entire
FATS product suite and is scalable to accommodate the varying demands
of deployed Marines in training, transport and storage. The FATS
portable solution can be set up in minutes and comes complete in a
self-contained, lightweight, ruggedized, one-man portable case.
