Email from Steve Stacy / Monroeville, AL
Subject:  MSG KIA Jim  Marshall / Wayne Tuberville

I will visit Mrs. Marshall when possible and show her the MEGA site containing the updates to her son's Memorial page.
.
She is a widow and both children are deceased. (James has a sister three years younger). Ironically, Kay Marshall, sister of James Marshall, graduated from Monroe County High School in Monroeville, AL. with Charles Wayne Turberbille, the second Embassy Marine killed in the line of duty.
If I recall. Wayne died in Laos. I will undertake to provide photos and background information on these men from Monroe County, AL. While I knew Wayne when I saw him, I was older and not close. James Marshall was my childhood friend and our two streets (mine and his) produced at least six boys who served our nation.

Ours was a middle class neighborhood typical of every small town in America. Our childhood friend, John Kearley, grew up with his backyard connected to the Marshall yard. He attended Annapolis and earned distinction as the commander of the U.S.S. Elmer Montgomery which engaged numerous Iranian gunboats in defense of a Swedish vessel. I have written him to ask if he would share any thoughts on James.

Also, I plan to contact Circuit Judge Sam Welch, a classmate of Kay Marshall and Wayne Turberville, and a resident of my street. I plan to ask every man who served the nation and lived as boys on our two streets to submit rememberances.

Thank you for this wonderful effort.
