From MGySgt Richard Carlisle: Detachment had to postpone our MC Ball because of the Tokyo Summit/President Reagan visit (He arrived on 10Nov83)  The Secret Service agents who were predominantly former Marine officers told the President that it was too bad that the Marines had to postpone their ball because of his visit.  Believe it or not, the President was not happy about the situation, so he hosted a special cake cutting ceremony in honor of the birthday of the Corps.
